Under Armour Debuts "M-Tag" Sneakers For Dennis Smith Jr. & Others
Under Armour has today introduced an all-new basketball sneaker, dubbed the “M-Tag,” to be worn by UA athletes such as Dallas Mavericks’ guard Dennis Smith Jr., Phoenix Suns forward Josh Jackson and Denver Nuggets’ shooting guard Will Barton, among others. Each of the three players will also have their own unique M-Tag player exclusive in partnership with PINTRILL, an accessory brand that creates pin designs inspired by pop culture icons and sayings.
For instance, DSJ’s Under Armour M-Tag PE pays homage to the world’s largest single military installation—Fort Bragg, with over 50,000 active duty personnel—located in his hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Jackson’s PE comes in a wine and gold colorway inspired by his love of the finer things in life and Barton’s pair references his Baltimore roots and his love of the Orioles and Ravens.
Under Armour describes their latest basketball silhouette as follows:
“One of the most lightweight basketball shoes on the market, the M-Tag keeps you comfortable throughout an entire game with a form-fitting compression upper inspired by the original Under Armour compression shirt that put the company on the map. The sneaker is stretchy and breathable, and each element of the M-Tag works together to support your game.”
Several colorways of the M-Tag are now available via UA.com for $110. Player exclusives from Josh Jackson, Dennis Smith Jr. and Will Barton will be available at UA.com, UA Brand Houses and Champs Armoury locations starting December 8.
